Case study

Overview

Scan Ride is the mobility product within the wider Scantech ecosystem. The work covers backend and product architecture, dispatch operations, ride lifecycle and booking flows, live trip monitoring, driver and customer tracking, payment confirmation, onboarding, and internal operational tools.

Technical highlights

  • 01 Dispatch panel, booking workflows, ride lifecycle, and live trip monitoring.
  • 02 Real-time driver and customer tracking through Firebase and GPS APIs.
  • 03 Stripe, cash-wallet, and trip-payment confirmation workflows.
  • 04 Operator controls for rate rules, zones, insurance restrictions, and operational challenges.
  • 05 Twilio OTP, push notifications, AWS S3, and driver onboarding integrations.
  • 06 Team workflow, deployment, infrastructure, and backend-scaling responsibilities.

Problem

A mobility operation needs one dependable system to coordinate customers, drivers, dispatchers, trips, payments, geographic rules, and time-sensitive operational decisions.

Solution

Built connected backend, API, and administration workflows for booking, dispatch, tracking, payments, onboarding, notifications, and operator control.

Architecture

Laravel provides the application and API foundation, with real-time location data, GPS services, payment integrations, cloud storage, notifications, and operator-facing administration connected through explicit product workflows.

Challenges

The system must keep trip state, payment state, live location, geographic rules, and operator actions consistent while supporting mobile clients and production operations.

Outcome

Established an operational foundation that supports the active ride lifecycle and the continued expansion of the Scan ecosystem without publishing unsupported usage or performance metrics.
